On March 26th, Lei Jun posted on Weibo stating that Xiaomi has invested heavily in the field of intelligent driving, with a research and development team of over 1000 people, and is expected to exceed 1500 by the end of the year. Equipped with a dedicated testing vehicle, the accumulated mileage of intelligent driving on the road has exceeded 10 million kilometers.

Lei Jun said that Xiaomi adheres to the self-developed full stack technology, and the new standard features include advanced intelligent driving functions such as high-speed navigation, one click valet parking, and intelligent parking assistance that can be driven nationwide. Xiaomi's intelligent driving may be the fastest and most rapidly advancing in the industry. The goal is to enter the first tier of the industry by 2024.

The Xiaomi SU7 press conference is scheduled for 7 pm on March 28th. Lei Jun revealed that there are still some updates on intelligent driving that will be introduced at the conference.

Earlier, Lei Jun posted on Weibo stating that smart electric vehicles are essentially "cars x electric x intelligent". In the past decade, the problem of electrification has been solved; The next decade will be a decade of intelligence. Intelligence will become the decisive point of this era.

Lei Jun stated that Xiaomi has been entering the smartphone market since 2010 and is currently one of the top three mobile phone companies in the world, as well as the world's largest consumer grade AIoT platform. It has accumulated comprehensive technical capabilities in OS, AI, robotics, and other fields, which will gradually be applied to automobiles. Smart driving, smart cabin, and ecosystem will become the technological high ground for Xiaomi Motors to participate in competition.

At present, the booking of Xiaomi SU7 is very popular. She has added 500 potential customers and received 60 blind orders. The sales team also revealed that the first batch of deliveries in Shanghai was about 5000 units, which is the highest in the country.

Lei Jun once stated in his Weibo post on March 15th that the Xiaomi SU7 will achieve "release and delivery, and quantity increase". The sales team at the delivery center added that even if they don't get the first batch, they can still deliver within one or two months.

A salesperson claimed that her phone numbers have been overloaded in the past two days, and she has paid over 300 yuan for the phone bill. Some even called and said they want to work at Xiaomi.

On the evening of the press conference, the store did not list any related promotional activities, but the salespeople were ready to stay up all night. A salesperson said, "Many people will blindly order lock orders tonight without a test drive.". Starting tomorrow, Xiaomi Motors will start a test drive, with blind bookings given priority. Other customers who make appointments for test drives will need to queue up.

The sales of the delivery center also revealed an interesting detail, as many users who came to see the car were driving brands such as Tesla, Geely Krypton, NIO, and BYD Han.

According to a research report by automotive consulting service agency Jielan Road, over 97% of intended users of Xiaomi SU7 have used Xiaomi products. Another report by Jielan Road pointed out that currently, among BYD car owners, Xiaomi has the highest number of mobile phone users, with a relatively high proportion of young, technologically advanced, and entry-level car owners using Xiaomi phones, including Xiaopeng, Shenlan, Lingpao, BYD, and others.
