Price butcher Tesla lowers prices, followed by BYD and others car brands, and a price war for electric vehicles begins

At the beginning of 2024, both Tesla and BYD launched almost simultaneous price wars for new energy vehicles. On January 12th, Tesla's official website announced that both the Model 3 and Model Y had been lowered in price, with the lowest selling price dropping to 245,900 CNY. On February 19th, BYD announced that two plug-in hybrid models, the Qin PLUS Honor Edition and the Exterminator 05 Honor Edition, were available for sale starting at 79,800 CNY.

Compared to the previous champion version model, the price dropped by 20,000 CNY. After SAIC-GM-Wuling announced that the Wuling Starlight plug-in hybrid model 150km advanced version was adjusted from 105,800 yuan to 99,800 CNY, Changan Qiyuan immediately followed suit, lowering the starting prices of the Q05 and A05 models to 73,900 CNY each. Nezha Automobile also lowered the price of the Nezha X model by 22,000 CNY, with a starting price below 100,000CNY

In addition, models in the current car that meet the purchasing needs but are not equipped with electric pedals can be further reduced by 5000 yuan.
